What is an entry?
An entry includes a completed entry form, an entry fee, and two copies of the DVD containing up to 30 commercial-free minutes of political coverage. The video may contain as many individual or related segments, or parts of a series, as a station, station group, network or individual would like to submit. The purpose of the video is to give judges an idea of the depth and breadth of an entrant’s 2008 political campaign coverage. Entries containing coverage of local and/or non-presidential races are encouraged.
How many entries can a station, station group, network or individual submit?
A station, station group or individual may apply only once to a station, station group or individual category, but a network may submit more than one series to the network category. Also, multiple individuals from the same station may apply separately to the individual category. Each entry must include a fee, a completed entry form and two copies of the DVD.
Should we enter as a station, station group, or individual?
The station, station group or individual should determine the most relevant category for the entry. If unsure, entrants should attach a note explaining why they chose a particular category for their entry, and what other category might qualify. The judges will determine the appropriate category for the entry after considering all the entry materials.
What about Web content?
Any submission has the option of also including a narrative about the applicant's exemplary use of multimedia and interactive technology on a TV news Website, which may include screenshots, links and/or compilations of online content.
