The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD)
CPD compiled guidelines for hosting debates of any kind, at any level. Guidelines address how to pick the debate location, negotiate with candidates, select topics and questions and more.

Debating our Destiny
This PBS site looks at pivotal moments from the last 40 years of presidential debates. You can read, listen to or watch the televised program as well as browse interviews with former candidates and coverage of past debates and campaigns.

The Great Debate and Beyond: The History of Televised Presidential Debates
An interactive, multimedia presentation of 40 years of television and politics. Provides analysis of the "Great Debate" between Kennedy and Nixon and a thorough presidential debate history from 1960 to 1996 complete with video, photos, headlines, memos and political spin. Also offers essays and interviews regarding the impact and importance of political debates.
