Before the primary and general elections, KTNV's Michael Geeser produced nearly 30 "Truth Watch" stories examining a local campaign ad. His ad watch stories also aired during a special called "Truth Watch 2000". Geeser examined all the TV campaign ads, and the station hosted a series of roundtable discussions between candidates. The judges call this coverage excellent. They praise Geeser's research and explanation of terms like "spin," "misleading" and "false." They also complimented the reporter for noting, not just how much money the candidates would be spending in the Las Vegas market, but how much money his own station would be taking in for such ads.
